We regularly take on student Research Assistants and are particularly interested in those who have had coursework in economics, statistics, public health, policy analysis and related concentrations.

Applications are accepted on a rolling basis, with roles filled according to the following deadlines:

  • Summer term: May 15
  • Fall semester: August 15
  • Spring semester: December 15

The Research Assistant position is ideal for candidates with an interest in economics, health services research, medicine, and related fields and who have plans for doctoral studies after working as a Research Assistant for 1-2 years. 

The position works closely with center Professors (PIs) and other research team members on a range of project-related activities, with a focus on working with administrative datasets and estimating econometric models. The position works collaboratively with faculty-led teams in a dynamic environment that encourages independent thinking, problem solving, and collegiality.

The Research Assistant position is ideal for candidates with an interest in health law, health policy, and related fields and who have plans to attend law school after working as a Research Assistant for 1-2 years. 

The position works closely with center Professors (PIs) and other research team members to support activities that ensure the center’s research findings are well positioned to impact policy. The position works collaboratively with faculty-led teams in a dynamic environment that encourages independent thinking, problem solving, and collegiality.

The Senior Research Assistant works closely with center Professors (PIs) and other research team members on a wide range of project-related tasks, such as project management, project documentation, IRB application support, progress reports, administrative support, internal and external communication, literature reviews, data collection, manuscript preparation, and report writing. 

The Senior Research Assistant will also contribute to the center’s efforts to engage in the policy process, such as through dissemination of research findings; providing technical assistance to policy stakeholders; and relationship building with key stakeholders.
