Biography
Salpy Kanimian, Ph.D., is an applied microeconomist and Faculty Fellow in the Department of Health Services, Policy, and Practice at the Brown University School of Public Health. Her research uses quasi-experimental and structural methods to study health insurance markets and related public-private systems like workers' compensation, examining how market structure and policy shape health care access, affordability, and spending. Her work has appeared in Health Affairs, JAMA, and INQUIRY, and has been featured in Forbes, TIME, and The Hill.
